¬[ City Raid Info ·]···¤

Do not enter or use the org city during city raids, and do not go AFK or log out from inside the org city (because you could log in while a raid is in progress). Your uninvited presence during a raid can ruin the raid for your orgmates by altering the level of the spawning aliens, possibly causing the raid to fail. You can check whether a raid is going on by typing !city into the org chat; if the cloak is ENABLED then you can safely enter.

Read the following for an in-depth look at how to do a City Raid:

      General Raid Info:

First, some city raid etiquette... Whomever supplies the CRU (Controller Recompiler Unit) for the raid is designated the raid leader. They get team lead, and they should be allowed to loot the alien general first, they can even set team loot order to leader to ensure this, it is an accepted practice. In order to trigger a city raid, you must have a Squad Commander or higher from the hosting org to lower the city cloak.

You can buy CRU from other players, you can get it in s10, and you can get it from team mission bosses. CRU is used to increase the charge on the City Controller (CC).

The CC charge should be below 50% when there is no raid going on. If the CC charge is too high, there is a chance of alien attacks when there is no one in the city. However, the possibility for aliens to attack randomly always exist and if it happens, it is not necessary to defend the city. The aliens will simply eat up the remaining energy from the city controller and then leave. They will not destroy city buildings.

City benefits will not be disabled if the CC charge falls to 0%. You can check city benefits by typing /org city

      Before the raid:

Any org member that is in their org's city during the raid will cause additional aliens to arrive and also determine the level of the spawning aliens. These two facts are why it is important to announce it in org chat any time you are doing a city raid. Team members that are not from the city's org will not cause extra aliens to spawn.

Aliens are a bit harder to kill than RK mobs of the same level, so it is always a good idea to invite healers along.

Once the raid team is assembled, buffed and ready to fight in the hosting city, the raid leader fills the CC with CRU. The city cloak can be lowered, which triggers an alien raid within 5 minutes. It only takes 51% charge to entice the aliens to attack, but it's a good idea to add upwards of 80-100% charge as the lesser aliens will drain the CRU over time and if it reaches 0%, the alien general won't come. Do not load CRU into the city controller after the cloak is disabled or the raid will not occur.

      During the raid:

A city raid has 8 waves of alien attacks, followed by the alien general. Each wave of aliens will have one alien called the hacker. Attack the hacker aliens first, because those aliens eat at the controller fastest. Do not attack aliens called Zix, since they will just disappear once the alien they are protecting is killed. Similarly, sometimes the alien general will come with 2 vanguard aliens which will simply vanish once the general is dead.

If there are at least 4 people in the team who have the AI expansion when the alien general is killed, then they will get a ship invite. Everything before the ship invite is referred to as a Ground Raid.

      After the raid:

Once the city cloak is lowered, it cannot be raised again for one hour, and once it is raised, it cannot be lowered again for one hour. Therefore, a city raid is only possible once every 2 hours.

It is important that the person who lowers the cloak takes responsibility for putting the cloak back up. When the cloak is down, there is a greater chance for aliens to randomly attack, regardless of the CRU level on the CC.
